A needle punching line converts loose fibres into a nonwoven fabric by mechanically interlocking them with barbed needles — no weaving or chemical binder required. A typical line includes opening/blending, carding, cross lapping, needle punching, calendering and winding.
It depends on your material and target weight. We recommend a pre-needle loom (YBG201) plus main needle looms (YBG202–204); for high-evenness technical fabrics, our patented elliptical-track YBG266 gives superior punching uniformity. Tell us your material and GSM and we will size it.
Needle punching consolidates web mechanically with needles; thermal bonding uses heat to melt low-melt fibres. Needle punching suits heavier, stronger and high-temperature-resistant fabrics (filtration, geotextile); thermal bonding suits lighter, softer products. Many lines combine both.
